Synopsis: The Mechanic is all about a hitman who kills people and makes it look like an accident. Arthur Bishop kills with such creativity that each assassination is considered an accident. It gets interesting when he has to kill his own friend, Harry McKenna who is framed with betrayal. That friend has a son, Steve McKenna. Now, to ease his heart, Statham agrees to teach Steve McKenna, the way of the mechanic.
Review: To begin with, this movie has got nothing to do with the title whatsoever. Absolutely nothing. I had high expectations of this movie. All because of its trailer. It is a remake of a 1972 movie with the same title. You see, when you hear the name Jason Statham, the first thing that should come to your mind is ACTION, EXPLOSION, FIGHT, KILLING etc. No doubt in this movie you have all of these typical action movie cliches but, ITS JUST NOT ENOUGH!! I have got no idea what was the director thinking. Come on, I mean its Jason Statham for goodness sakes!! It has a good story, the problem was on the plot expansion and how this movie lack the action movie experience. There could have been more ways of killing people and more action. As a whole, it is a failure.
My rating: 4/10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest)
